I spent three days at the Birmingham Photography Show; and believe me they were not enough to fit in the number of conferences I would have liked to attend, the speakers I wanted to meet, the crafted and ingenious creator of mobile cameras accessories I’d have liked to chat with.
I attended many interesting speeches at the Mobileography space.
Thanks Jess Macdonald for your simple and effective tips: “start with a good picture, think ahead, plan your photo and then add your filter” she said as she described how to make the most out of a camera phone. It was lovely to share experience and expertise with speaker Oliver Lang and and F Stop Lounge contributor Richard Powazynski. Thank you Joanne Carter and Vivi Hanson Sacerdote of The AppWhisperer for presenting beautiful case studies on mobile art photography.
It was great to see this space always filled with so many people.
But the top moment of the fair were Martin Parr’s words about mobile photographers: “Bring it on, the more the merrier”
As I said I left my heart and my wallet ($£€…) at the photography show; I highly recommend this experience for professionals and amateurs photographers living in UK.
