Title, Info and Keywords: it is important to know what is being photographed. Get as many info as possible and add all the relevant keywords, the correct title and location when sending the picture.
Remember that the right information improves the selling opportunities. Last week we wrote about the creative and editorial categories, now we want to explain why writing the correct title/info/keywords makes the difference.
The information of an editorial image must be accurate, specify the location and the right name of the subject. When taking a picture, ask yourself if you have the indispensable information. Taking a picture of a map of your trip can help you.
In the example above, on the left, there is the right title/info/keywords of an editorial image. In the title, the author included the name of the famous district of Milan “Porta Nuova” and used a lot of keywords to describe what you can see in the picture: the name of the skyscraper, the square where it is located, the name of the architect that designed it and other general information.
Keywords for a creative photo can be easier and more generic. But not in the example below where there is an insect on top of a daisy. It is important (example on the left) to write what type of insect and what type of flower, the general information as color of the flower, flower description (petals and pistils), where the flower is located (indoors or outdoors), etc. We suggest, for both categories, to use an appropriate title: a description of what you see in the picture or the most important subject of your picture. If you write the right title our customers will simplify their search.
Another important aspect is emotion. When inserting your keywords, think about the emotions that you feel looking at the image.
And remember: keywords should be separated by commas and not hashtag.
